Description: - A late Victorian diamond swallow brooch, circa 1900. The brooch is crafted as three graduated swallows in flight, each pave set with rose-cut diamonds, in an unmarked silver mount, with a base metal pin.
During the 19th and early part of the 20th century the swallow symbolised ‘faithfulness’ and was given as a gift between lovers.

Measurement: - 5.1cm (length) x 2.5cm (height) x 0.9cm (depth).
Weight: - 7.3 grams.
Condition: - The pin, and clasp both work perfectly. Light tarnishing to the metal. The diamonds are in good condition. Gemstone treatment is unknown.
